A new anti-racism fundraiser entitled “The Time is Now” by Paper Journal and contemporary art gallery Galerie Number 8 is featuring a diverse roster of emerging artists in the print sale in the fields of photography and mixed media who have donated their work for a series of posters produced specifically for the fundraiser, some even donating one-off prints, photobooks, and merchandise for a raffle.
The artists included in the sale are Akasha Rabut, Denisse Ariana Pérez, MAR+VIN, among many others. Available in an edition of 15 or 30, the posters range from intimate portraits and close-ups of the body to artful landscapes and dreamy depictions of the natural world. Each raffle ticket costs €20 EUR (approx. $23 USD), and is included with every poster purchase, which are available in an edition of 15 or 30. All 100% of the proceeds from the sale will be split evenly among the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, Pay The Rent, La vérité pour Adama, and the Marsha P. Johnson Institute.
Check out some of the works below and head to The Time is Now’s website to see the full list of artists and contributors. The fundraiser will run from now until August 10. Raffle winners will be announced on August 14.
